History: During the Depression, The Mystery Gunman was a hot lead and cold justice vigilante. Not very skilled at solving riddles (or even crossword puzzles), he enlisted the help of Able-Bodied Boy to hunt down the Puzzling Purloiner. Because he wasn't willing to pay the sidekick, however, the Purloiner was able to steal the World's Largest Diamond from the Diamond Club.
